All the resources you need in one place, because your job is already busy enough.
Hi there, and thank you for considering me for your event.
I want you to know my primary goal is to make your job easier and your meeting an overwhelming success. I’m no prima donna.
My mom was a school teacher for 44 years, and my dad was a minister his entire adult life, so I don’t need anything fancy, and I’m always happy to help in any way you require.
If you want me to text you when I land at the airport, I’m happy to do it. If you want me at the venue two hours early, I’ll be there. My goal is that on the day of your event, “worry about the speaker” is already crossed off your list.
This page is designed to give you quick access to everything you might need, without a back-and-forth email chain. If you need something not listed here, just ask. Kim and her team are happy to help.
(If you’d like everything in one zip folder, tell us and we’ll send it.)
Kim’s presentation style is interactive and energetic. Standard AV support helps ensure the best experience for your audience.
Typical needs include:

Kim brings her own Countryman mic (works with most battery packs). If it doesn’t connect, she prefers a wireless handheld mic.

Audio connection for video clips within the PowerPoint

(preferred, not required)
Specific details can be finalized during pre-event planning.
Every keynote is customized. Before your event, Kim takes time to:
● Learn about your organization and audience
● Understand your event goals and theme
● Align content with your objectives
● Incorporate relevant language, examples, and context
This prep is what helps the message feel personal and relevant — not generic.
Want to build excitement and boost attendance? Kim is happy to help.
Kim can record a quick video invite for your audience (just ask!)
If you need promotional copy tailored to your event, we can help with that too
Final Note for Planners
Kim Hodous brings more than a keynote, she brings energy, connection, and an experience your audience will remember. And behind the scenes, she brings a planner-friendly approach that makes your event smoother and more successful.
Thank you for everything you do to make great events happen.
Kim is a strong fit for associations and organizations that want more than inspiration. Her keynotes combine research-backed strategies, interactive engagement, and practical habits centered around energy, connection, and culture. Every program is customized so your audience feels seen — not spoken at.
Once we confirm fit and availability, we’ll send a simple agreement. A 50% deposit reserves your date, with the balance due 7 days before the event.
Kim responds promptly — usually within one business day. If something is time-sensitive, calling the office is the fastest route: 479-236-5139.
Every keynote is thoughtfully customized — not just with your logo or theme, but with language, stories, and examples that reflect your audience’s realities. Ideally, the Pre-Event Questionnaire is completed no later than one month before your event so Kim has time to prepare.
Kim prepares for every keynote with intention and care. She uses a short pre-event questionnaire, along with your agenda, theme, and audience insights, to ensure the content is aligned and relevant.
To go deeper, Kim also connects with 3–5 attendees in advance for brief conversations to better understand their real-world joys, challenges, and day-to-day experiences. These insights allow her to reflect the true voice of your team from the stage.
If there are cultural nuances, internal language, or sensitive topics to be aware of, sharing those details helps her shape the experience thoughtfully. The goal is simple: your audience should feel like this keynote was created specifically for them—because it was.
Kim prefers to make her own travel arrangements, but she’s happy to coordinate with you or your travel agent. If you secure travel, please forward confirmation details to me@kimhodous.com.
If you’re booking the hotel, Kim’s only request is a non-smoking room. Please forward hotel info and the confirmation number to me@kimhodous.com.
For groups of 200+, a small raised platform helps visibility (12–18 inches is perfect). Kim’s programs are interactive, so the steps in front are helpful. If there’s a podium/lectern, please move it to the side to keep the stage clear.
Kim uses a Countryman E7 headset that works with most mic packs, if that’s not available, she prefers a handheld wireless mic. Because her programs include participation, please provide a second handheld wireless mic for the audience. If your venue has limitations, no stress, tell us what you have, and we’ll plan around it.
Audio/video recording is permitted with prior permission. Kim requests a copy of the audio/footage within 14 days after the event.
Most programs don’t require a handout. If a handout is part of your event plan, it will be emailed no later than 7 days before the event for duplication and distribution. If you’d like follow-up reinforcement, ask about optional post-event resources.
If approved, Kim offers products for attendees to purchase after the program. A 6–8 foot skirted table near the exit/back of the room works best, just not somewhere distracting during the keynote. Book signings are welcome; allow 20–30 minutes immediately after the presentation.
